Medici Villas and Gardens in Tuscany: Hiking to the Medici Villas near Florence @ Florencepass!

The Medici Family owned splendid villas in the immediate surroundings of Florence, this tour is focused on the two Villas at Castello, reacheable by train in few minutes from Florence main train station. Our guide will be with you all the time - from the Santa Maria Novella train station - hiking then to the Villa di Castello first, with its spectacular garden famous for its rich collection of citruses and then proceeding to the Villa Petraia, with another wonderful example of Italian Renaissance Gardens, but also splendid artworks in its interior, including a celebrated cycle of frescoes referring to the history of the powerful Medici family.

A hike through nature and arts both  crafted by Renaissance artists financed by the Medici family.
