The Iris Garden in Florence

The Garden of the Iris, which since 1215 is the symbol of the city of Florence, is a little green corner permeated with intense parfumes immersed in the greenery of the southern hills of Florence, next to Piazzale Michelangelo.

Flowering iris in May

During this period of the year corresponding of course to the flowering of the iris we can admire more than 1500 species of this flower, coming from every part of the world. Meadows, flower-beds and even a little lake and among a moltitude of colours an extraordinary occasion of admiring Florence in the valley of the Arno River.

The Iris Garden at Piazzale Michelangelo is open every year from May 2nd to May 25th
